What are you afraid of?/Do que você tem medo?

Estou chegando ao final do livro "So Long Insecurity" por Beth Moore e tem sido um bom desafio, como mulher, desenvolver a segurança em Cristo. Gostaria de compartilhar algumas partes que tocaram meu coração profundamente, me levando a refletir e agir.

Está em inglês, mas você pode usar o google translate no próprio blog para entender melhor.

"What are you afraid of?"

What frightens you? Whenever you get hit by a wave of insecurity, the wind driving it is always fear.

You: "Lord, I don't know if I can trust _____________________________ or not."
God: "But can you trust Me?"

Any time insecurity hits, you can be sure that you are afraid of something. The question is, what?
You may fear rejection.
You may fear anonymity.
You may fear being alone.
You may fear betrayal.
You may being disrepect.
You may being hurt....you may fear pain or any sort....
Nothing has come more naturally to me than fear. Like yours, the majority of my fears have been unfounded, but some of them have been almost prophetic. Listen carefully: either way, whether founded or fictional, our fears will never do us a single favor.

In order to plant our feet on solid ground, we can drop the conditions off of our trust and determine that God will take care of us no matter what...no matter what. I am not saying it is easy. Sometimes trusting God means taking no further action - Ps 46:10. Other times trusting God means regrouping with Him until the fog clears so we know how to take the next step - Prov 3:5-6; Ps 37:3.

God: "Child, tell Me your worst fear.
         Let's say those things happened.
Picture yourself going through the whole process of one of your worst fears becoming a reality. Get all the way to the other side of it. What do you see there?
Ok, you did a good job thinking up something terrible. What then?

You may can not imagining enduring it, but because you know God is faithful, you must trust that somehow you would. You gonna facedown before God just as you have a hundred other hard times, accept His grace amd mercy, believe Him to take up your cause and work together for good, and then you would get up and choose to live.

Psalm 112: 7-8
What will I do if.....?
God: "Child, you are asking the wrong question. Here's the one that would assuage your fears: WHAT WILL GOD DO IF...?
Psalm 138:8; Rm 8:28; Micah 7:18; Philip 4:19; 2 Cor 12:9; Eph 3:20.....

If you will place your trust in Him, He will Always-I said always- make sure that in the end you will look upon your foes in triumph.
